EISA - Estaleiro Ilha S.A. was settled in
1995 at the facilities of the former Estaleiro EMAQ(shipyard), a traditional
brazilian shipbuilder since 1949. EISA took part in Naval Construction Programs created by the Brazilian government and which in the 70's made Brazil de 2nd world largest producer, surpassed only by Japan.
On that occasion several ships were built for the export market, on contract by ship owners of several countries traditionally engaged in ship building.
More than 400 vessels of several sizes and
types were built at these installations for traditional brazilian
and foreign clients, including offshore, port, military and supply
units.
Building within the highest international
technical standards, complying with delivery dates and budget, developing
products with full quality guarantee. These are EISA's management
fundamental principles.
Investing in equipment, installations, top
technology and shipbuilding projects, EISA participates in the brazilian
shipbuilding industry with all the infrastructure for the construction
of ships up to 280m long as well as carrying out general repair,
conversion, up-grade, jumborizing and all types of modifications. Complex conversions on supply vessels and barges and drag upgrading are also a part of EISAs portfolio.
The existence of two lateral construction ramps, allows the simultaneous construction of at least two large vessels, allowing for good production capacity and industrial flexibility.
Experience, informatization, high qualified
personnel, functional lay-out, tradition and success. This is EISA.
A shipyard that works together with the client in order to guarantee
projects of success with technology, safety and quality.
